Well known, expanding CPA firm is seeking a Financial Service Tax Senior Manager. This is a highly visible position and has strong partnership potential.
Responsibilities include :
- Performing consulting and compliance services for financial service clients in the hedge fund, private equity and broker-dealers
- Identifying tax planning strategies to optimize the clients’ tax issues
- Reviewing work prepared by staff
- Supervising, training and evaluating advanced level staff
- Preparing annual and quarterly FAS 109 calculations and implementing FIN 48
- Assurance of departmental compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, Sec 404 compliance
- Draft tax related financial statement disclosures for inclusion in SEC filings
- Strong experience with tax provisions
- Co-responsibility with partners relating to billing and staff utilization
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Maintaining knowledge of new tax issues and general business trends that affect the client
- Developing solid client relationships
Job Information
The right candidate will have the following :
- BS in Accounting or related field
- MS, or LLM in tax a big plus
- 8+ years recent experience in the tax department of a CPA firm, with a strong specialization in the hedge funds and private equity
- Experience in partnership, individual and corporate tax work
- Strong team player
- Ability to take control and help to run a growing department
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable in the following industries : hedge funds, private equity finds, broker-dealers and other similar industries
- Strong team player
