Journey is hiring a Regional Vice President of Clinical Services to cover the Georgia region.
Job Title : Regional Vice-President of Clinical Services
Reports to : Chief Operating Officer
Location : Regional (Multiple Facilities)
General Description :
The Regional Vice-President of Clinical Services is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of multiple long-term care facilities within a designated region.
This position ensures the delivery of high-quality care, compliance with regulatory standards, and continuous improvement of clinical processes.
The role involves conducting thorough quality assurance audits, providing strategic leadership, and fostering an environment focused on patient well-being.
The Regional VP of Clinical Services serves as a key consultant to facility leadership teams, ensuring that each facility is aligned with corporate objectives and industry best practices.
Qualifications :
Education / Training :
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing; holds a current registered nursing (RN) license.
- B.S. in Nursing or Healthcare Management preferred.
- Advanced certifications in geriatrics or healthcare leadership are highly desirable.
Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in clinical operations, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing environments.
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations and proven experience with quality assurance programs.
Skills :
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in clinical management software and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and inspire clinical teams to achieve operational goals.
Essential Duties :
- Strategic Leadership
- Provides leadership to Executive Directors, Medical Directors, and Nursing teams to align clinical operations with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Develops and implements regional clinical strategies, ensuring that quality care and resident safety are prioritized across all facilities.
- Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance
- Conducts regular quality assurance audits, ensuring compliance with state and federal long-term care regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
- Recommends and implements corrective actions to address areas of non-compliance or improvement, fostering continuous quality improvement in clinical services.
- Consultation & Support
- Provides expert advice and guidance to clinical staff and facility leadership on best practices in patient care, infection control, medication management, and safety procedures.
- Serves as a resource for the coordination and implementation of Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs across all facilities.
- Operational Management
- Collaborates with facility management to establish operational budgets, clinical benchmarks, and staffing models that support high standards of care.
- Monitors clinical outcomes, staff performance, and patient satisfaction, ensuring facilities meet or exceed corporate and regulatory expectations.
- Education & Staff Development
- Develops and oversees educational initiatives, in-services, and training programs for clinical staff to ensure professional development and compliance with industry standards.
- Plays a key role in the onboarding and orientation of new clinical leadership, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Resident Advocacy & Care
- Ensures that all care provided is resident-centered, respecting the dignity, individuality, and rights of each patient.
- Promotes a safe and nurturing environment that enhances the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of residents.
- Collaboration with External Agencies
- Acts as a liaison with government agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations to promote strong partnerships and compliance with external requirements.
- Participates in facility surveys, ensuring that corrective action plans are developed and implemented in response to any identified issues.
- Process Improvement
- Identifies opportunities for innovation and improvement in clinical practices and implements solutions that improve efficiency and quality of care.
- Leads initiatives to optimize resource utilization, staffing models, and clinical workflows to enhance operational performance across the region.
