Job Description
NCLM is on the lookout for a dynamic and driven individual possessing exceptional project management and communication skills for the contractual role of IT Project Manager.
This role involves spearheading the successful deployment and cross-functional execution of Insurance Claims and Underwriting Software.
Experience with Insurance Claims Management Systems is highly preferred. This role is Hybrid. Candidate must reside in NC and preference given to candidates living in the Raleigh area.
Up to12 Month with possible extension.
Scope of Project :
- System Migration : Migration of On-Premises Claims and Underwriting Software to New SaaS Solutions.
- Data Conversion : Transition databases and content from current platforms to new ones by mapping and documenting necessary fields and information for a seamless migration.
- Integration : Update APIs and interfaces to integrate third-party partners with the new Claims and Underwriting solutions.
- Business Requirements Documentation : Enhance user workflows and experiences by improving business processes and automating steps.
Work with teams to document and improve processes.
Staff Training : Train staff to ensure effective usage and adoption of the new solution.
Duties :
- Oversee the execution of intricate, integrated insurance programs (Claims and Underwriting) to both internal and external teams.
- Steer the execution of assigned projects, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, action and decision logs, meeting minutes, and status reports for designated patient support programs during the implementation phase.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring the presence of relevant subject matter experts based on the agenda and purpose of the meeting.
- Relay project milestones, scope of deliverables, structure of the implementation workstream, critical success factors of the program, program risks, and mitigation strategies when necessary.
- Plan and carry out the implementation of insurance programs as per agreed timelines, including resource acquisition and coordination of efforts of internal and external team members and third-party contractors (if applicable).
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional team members to complete necessary tasks and obtain project updates in line with timelines and scope.
- Identify and escalate implementation challenges when necessary.
- Understand dependencies, risks, and impacts related to program implementation and drive the development of risk mitigation plans with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Foster robust working relationships across all business areas, including business development, client services, and other shared service verticals within NCLM.
- Develop and deliver status reports to internal and external stakeholders at suitable intervals.
- Support the development of templates and the creation of new implementation standards as needed.
- Conduct post-mortem meetings and provide recommendations for process improvement to internal stakeholders, integrating suitable recommendations into the best practices for implementation management.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders by assuming a leadership role to ensure the success of all assigned projects.
- Undertake miscellaneous tasks or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree with preference given to candidates with over 5 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, specifically in support, program management, or operations.
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience in project management or implementation, including project initiation, management, risk mitigation, execution, and program closure.
- Certifications such as PMP, PPM, or CSM are desirable but not mandatory.
- Exceptional organizational skills are necessary to lead, prioritize, and complete multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently.
- Must be a self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting quickly to changes.
- Experience managing multiple vendor partners and relationships and keeping them accountable.
- Ability to quickly and assertively take command of a group of individuals while maintaining positive relationships.
- Ability to lead and direct both internal and external teams in a cross-functional capacity and align cross-functional resources towards a common goal.
- Business acumen to understand the value that NCLM brings to our members and the ability to advocate for the member
- Strong time management and multitasking skills are necessary for successful program execution.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and oral) are required.
- Ability to interact with a diverse team, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Must be skilled in conflict resolution and proficient in delivering difficult messages to internal team members.
