Our client in the sustainable energy sector is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager - Asset Management. Reporting to the COO the Financial Reporting Manager will analyze financial statements from their investment entities and support analysis and reporting of portfolio performance both internally and externally and may interact directly with portfolio company leaders as they develop their own operational and financial reporting capabilities.

Day to day duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Collaborates with Deal and Asset Management teams to receive and analyze timely financial reporting from all of the company's investment entities.
  • Clarifies and analyzes financials to surface questions and anomalies.
  • Keeps a record of timeliness and quality of information reported.
  • Surfaces material issues (whether accounting, operating performance, or compliance related) with Asset Management Committe and works collaboratively on any improvements or changes to be made.
  • Prepares bridge and other analyses for each investment as needed.
  • Designs templates and operating reports to communicate performance of the company's portfolio.
  • May interact directly with portfolio company leaders as they develop their own operational and financial reporting capabilities.

The ideal candidate for this Financial Reporting Manager - Asset Management will have :

  • 7+ years of work experience
  • Financial analysis and accounting background either in an investment firm, consulting or auditing capacity.
  • Prior exposure to accounting for various types of companies, including projects and operating companies.
  • Preferably someone who has worked at or with sustainable / alternative energy companies.
  • Experience with company valuations also a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Superior communication and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and CPA (preferred).
