Prospecting is key for a BDM. They focus most of their activities on acquiring new accounts, are also responsible for helping build up a business by identifying prospects and selling our services to them;

they focus on accomplishing goals. They must build and maintain relationships with new clients. Business Development Managers educate clients about a company's products or services to increase sales.

They develop relationships in new territories and increase sales by contacting potential clients directly

Responsibility

  • Present, promote and sell services using solid arguments to prospective customers.
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of potential customers to meet their needs.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling / emailing.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
  • Analyze the territory / market's potential, track sales and status reports.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

technical Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field. Other similar careers.Creative skills. Whether it is seeing new ways existing opportunities could be developed, or finding completely new routes to market, creative thinking is essential for the role
