About the Role

We are seeking an Air Sweeper Operator to join our team! This person will operate an air sweeper truck to remove dirt, silt, and debris from roadways and parking lots.

The Operator will perform intermediate skilled trades on various tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets and grounds and related work as apparent or assigned.

What You Will Do :

Operate street sweeping equipment and other related heavy equipment or tools to sweep streets, gutters, medians, parking lots, courtyards, and public works yards;

clear debris from right-of-way; clean storm drains and inlets.

• Identification and reporting of hazardous conditions.
• Adjust and operate brooms, guards, and other related auxiliary equipment; change brooms as necessary.
• Inspect equipment for safety and mechanical defects; check fuel, fluid levels, air pressure, and hydraulic systems; perform preventive maintenance and report if maintenance is needed;

inspect auxiliary equipment for proper operating condition and safety.

• Clean of the sweeper and auxiliary equipment as necessary.
• Respond to emergency clean-ups, including spills; perform special sweeping runs as necessary.
• Must be required to work outside regular hours on-call and in emergencies.
• Perform snow removal duties on routes designated by the supervisor.

What You Will Need :

• A current & valid driver's license with three years of driving experience is required ; CDL is a plus.
• At least one year of experience operating street sweeping equipment is preferred.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure with unexpected occurrences and delays.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Available for Flexible scheduling. Our work schedules and start times vary with the weather.
• Fluent English and Spanish speaking ability is preferred.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, extreme noise, odors, heights, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials.
• Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to climb ladders and work off the ground.
• Will require driving between company locations.
• Overnight travel- 10% or less

Compensation for this position is $19.00 -$23.00 hourly, depending on experience.
