Assistant Controller
Our client, a dynamic and innovative portfolio of brands with a 150-year history of providing consumers, wholesalers, and resellers with high-quality supplies and home restoration products, is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team! As an Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in providing high-level support for the company's accounting and financial activities.

Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with accounting team to coordinate and manage accounting functions and programs.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial analyses and reports.
- Record end journal entries, maintain fixed assets, and calculate monthly depreciation.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Compile and prepare necessary documentation for external auditors and tax return preparers.
- Provide support for human resource matters, including payroll processing through ADP.
- Stay updated with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and their applications.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for book close, annual audits, and overall internal financial controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Five years of progressive accounting experience, with public experience in a CPA firm being a plus.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong focus and ability to manage multiple competing objectives.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
