Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management / coordination of activities for a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
This includes assuring the grant meets goals and objectives, budget oversight and tracking, grant compliance, required SAMHSA reporting, data tracking and interpretation and other grant-related duties, as assigned.
Because this position is funded 100% by the grant, this individual can only perform work related to the grant project. IMPORTANT : According to SAMHSA, which is the federal organization funding this project, it must approve the individual who fills this position.
Employment is contingent upon SAMHSA approval. IMPORTANT : This is a grant-paid position. Funding from the SAMHSA is for the project period : 9 / 30 / 24 to 9 / 29 / 27 .
This position cannot be guaranteed after that time.

Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, business, nursing or a related degree.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in project management.
- Project Management skills, including : planning, organizing and managing time.
- The ability to collaborate and work well within teams
- Excellent written communication skills.
- The ability to remain humble and deliver programming in a culturally appropriate way.

- Must be willing to learn how to use the electronic health record (Epic) and keep excellent documentation in that system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- 1. Be familiar with Kettering Health’s grant policies and procedures and ensure grant activities follow those procedures and policies.
- 2. Demonstrate expert understanding of the grant Request for Proposals, Program Narrative, Workplan, Budget, Budget Narrative and other grant-related documents.
- 3. Create and maintain a system to collect data required for reports. Assure reports are accurate and submitted on time.
- 4. Document grant expenses in real time on the Grant Expenses Tracking Sheet in Teams.
- 5. In collaboration with the grants management team, problem solve / troubleshoot potential issues to keep the grant activities on task.
- 6. Coordinate meeting logistics, including meeting space and telecommunications requirements. Maintain agendas and minutes for meetings.
- 7. Maintain Expense Tracking Sheet in Teams. Coordinate all purchasing on behalf of the grant.
- 8. Chair the internal and external stakeholder meetings.
- 9. Maintain grant-related documents in the appropriate Microsoft Team.
- 10. Manage grant activities, including using project management techniques to keep the project on task, meeting the goals and objectives of the grant proposal.
- 11. Maintain relationships with community partners. Keep agreements up to date.
- 12. Attend all required grant management educational programs.
- 13. In collaboration with the grant management team, assure the grant is implemented following compliance rules.
- 14. Maintain timely Time and Effort reporting.
- 15. Some local travel may be required between KH locations and community organizations.
- 16. Other grant-related duties, if needed.
