Wound Ostomy & Continence Nurse Coordinator
Inova Health System’s Loudoun Hospital is looking for a Wound Ostomy & Continence Nurse Coordinator to join our Research Magnet department.
This role is part-time days (24 hours per week).

Responsibilities :
The Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN) Coordinator uses an integrated approach toward patient outcomes and develops and monitors standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
Fosters high standards of practice relating to the care, teaching and rehabilitation of persons having ostomies, fistulas, wounds and incontinence.
Serves as a subject matter expert to peers, physicians and leaders on complex clinical issues in wound, ostomy, and continence care.
Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice and provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way.

Requirements :
- Hours : part-time days (24 hours per week)
- Location : Inova Loudoun Hospital
- Education : Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Experience : Experience providing wound / ostomy care and Wound Certification (CWS, CWOCN, CWCN, CWOCN, or COCN accepted) or 5 years RN experience providing wound / ostomy care
- Licensure / Certifications : RN license in the state of Virginia; CWS, CWOCN, CWCN, CWOCN, or COCN accepted OR 2 additional years RN experience providing wound / ostomy care in lieu of cert;
BLS from the American Heart Association
