Bell Design Group is a progressive, diverse, and energetic Architecture, Interiors, and Project Management Studio based in Los Angeles with new locations in Colorado, Spain, and Argentina.

We are a very collaborative practice that values individual contribution and well-rounded experience. The typologies of projects at our firm range from Hotels to Affordable Housing, Production Studios to Tech Campuses, Residences to Restaurants, and Master Plans to Commercial Spaces.

We are looking for a full-time Project Architect / Project Captain to join our growing and fast-paced team in an architectural role focused on projects of varying scales and technical complexities.

Project Architects are the leaders of developing architectural plans and will work hand-in-hand with Project Managers and the design team to create exceptional projects.

A Project Architect should have extensive knowledge of the building process, from conceptual design through construction, and be able to apply architectural principles, practices, and techniques consistently and with exploratory drive.

The right person for this role will be an excellent communicator, strategic thinker, and collaborative problem solver, as well as have significant experience in code analysis and detailing / documentation.

A candidate needs to be able to work independently and collaboratively, with a passion for craft and an eye for detail and quality.

This position is available at our Colorado Springs location.

Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • License required for Project Architect
  • 3-8+ years of experience for Project Captain; 7-10+ years of experience for Project Architect / Senior Project Architect
  • Software experience required to include BIM, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • ArchiCAD and AutoCAD experience is preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Detailed and technical drafting skills
  • An astute eye for design sensibilities
  • Strong redlining skills to provide clear direction to teams
  • Knowledge of agency processing and code compliance
  • Attention to both detail and big-picture concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently
  • Solid knowledge of codes, specs, engineering systems, and construction methods
  • Resourceful, adaptive, and efficient
  • Varied experience with a desire to learn
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and develop solutions
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to mentor and guide individuals and teams
  • Excellent foresight and communication
