Our client is an American-based nanobubble technology company with a mission to unlock the full potential of nanobubbles to enhance and protect water, food, and natural resources.
Due to company growth, our client requires a Project Engineer / Project Manager to design, engineer, procure, and execute equipment projects for emerging and existing nanobubble generator applications in surface water and wastewater treatment.
This position will work with the commercial team to design and custom engineer process flowsheets for challenging surface water and wastewater projects, assist the procurement team in getting quotes for third-party equipment per specification, and lead project execution in the field including working with the global service team to install and commission the engineered equipment package.
The candidate will work with the Surface Water Application Development engineer / scientist to efficiently size new equipment, develop winning proposals, and execute projects.
The selected candidate will report directly to the Global Head of Surface Water Treatment.
The ideal candidate is located in the Mid-West USA (Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri) or Southwestern USA (Texas, Arizona, California).
Responsibilities for this position include :
Process Flowsheet & Proposal Development : Develop flowsheet and design / develop specifications for 3rd party equipment that will be needed for the designed process.
Liaison with supply chain and product engineering team to ensure that process flowsheet meets customer needs. Develop project proposals and associated cost and price for the flowsheet designed by getting quotes from multiple suppliers.
Design & Procurement : Develop detailed designs and drawings including equipment specification sheets, Piping and Instrumentation (P&ID) drawings and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
Enable efficient procurement of 3rd party items and ensure that equipment is delivered to our manufacturing facility or directly to site in accordance with our specifications in a timely manner.
Project Planning and Execution : Define project scope, goals and deliverables, and detailed project plans. Create and manage project schedules and budgets.
Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues. Proactively identify and resolve project bottlenecks and challenges.
Work with the Global Service Team (GST) to install and commission equipment at site per design.
Quality Assurance : Ensure projects are delivered to high-quality standards, meet customer requirements and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions as needed. Monitor and report on project performance metrics as appropriate across all levels of the organization.
Project Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and other project-related documentation.
Generate regular project reports for internal and external stakeholders. Prepare and deliver project presentations as needed.
Travel up to 30% of the time to conduct site visits to scope field installation requirements and enable field installation and commissioning.
Visit suppliers as needed for FAT and inspection prior to shipment.
Requirements for this position include :
- Seven or more years of professional work experience.
- Self-starter with experience working in small teams.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in the water treatment industry preferably in project or application, design and / or project management.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, cross-functional team members, customers, suppliers, and senior management.
- Background in general and / or water-treatment equipment-related product design, construction, and installation would be considered an advantage.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized with excellent time management skills

- Proficient in the use of software management tools
- Must be able to read and make good use of construction drawings.

The salary for this position is $125K, or commensurate with experience, and full benefits. This position has excellent advancement potential.
