The Production Scheduler / Planner will be responsible for ensuring our order to delivery process is monitored and adhered to the company's lead time goals.

Collaborate internally with Production and Sales to communicate priorities and expected delivery dates. You should be detail-oriented, possess strong logical reasoning skills, and demonstrate ease with communicating ideas efficiently and effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that orders are prioritized based on customer requirements, material availability, labor / machinery availability, etc
  • Provide daily production schedule to production supervisor
  • Ensure adherence to the schedule and collaborate with the production supervisor to problem solve any gaps in schedule adherence
  • Communicate regularly with 3rd party vendors to ensure their production / distribution schedule meets our required lead times
  • Communicate regularly with 3rd party vendors to update order priority and current constraint in their production lines
  • Monitor offsite company owned equipment to ensure that spare parts and preventive maintenance is available / scheduled to reduce downtime
  • Point of contact for current status updates of all customer facing Sales Orders
  • Monitor and execute purchase orders on production materials
  • Work with Vendor Management / Production Manager to communicate bottlenecks with production material vendors
  • Assist in assessment of new vendors related to production materials
  • Generate and maintain capacity calculations to determine labor needs for all aspects of the production process
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures, work instruction, and reference documents for the role
  • Assist Operations Team in stocking purchase order creation as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3+ years of previous experience in a similar role ie Scheduler, Buyer, Demand Planner
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Analytics and reporting experience and skills
  • Strong excel / google sheet skills (most work for this role is managed in this software)
  • Experience with ERP order entry (NetSuite experience a plus)
  • Experience in a printing production environment is a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills from IC to C-Level
  • Ability to provide context to key stakeholders on customer facing sales orders
  • You have excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • You enjoy independently handling multiple projects at once, and are quick to pivot and adapt confidently in high-pressure situations
