Department Overview
The members of Enterprise Public Works Coordination ensure the delivery of safe and reliable Gas and Electric service to our customers, by proactively working with local cities and counties to coordinate and complete our work in the public right of way, according to local laws, to limit impacts to the public and to promote public safety Enterprise Public Works is responsible for processing city and county permits for all PG&E workstreams, hold and foster the operational relationship with local municipalities.
Position Summary
Oversees the internally designed Traffic Control Plans (TCP) that support the acquisition of encroachment permits for projects across PG&E areas of work.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting.
This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is :
Bay Area Minimum : $128,000
Bay Area Maximum : $218,000
California Minimum : $122,000
California Maximum : $207,000
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders regarding Traffic Control Plan (TCP) needs and process improvements
- Recruit / select, communicate expectations, foster employee engagement, coach, develop, mentor, recognize and reward employees to drive performance and results.
- Supervises multiple Civil Engineers and Traffic Control Plan (TCP) Drafters within the system
- Coordinates with project teams to understand scope of workspace and traffic control needs
- May stamp safe and efficient traffic control designs for project execution ensuring they meet local, state, and federal agency standards
- Responding to local, state, and federal agencies comments and requests for information regarding traffic and transportation issues and concerns on internally designed plans
- Supporting other departments with traffic engineering consultation
- Leading or directing contract traffic and transportation engineering services as needed
- Attending project and program meetings both locally and at remote work locations as needed
The successful candidate will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Enterprise Public Works Programs and Process.
Qualifications
Minimum :
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience
- 8 years Job-related experience (traffic / transportation)
Desired :
- California Professional Engineer License
- Leadership experience
- Experience with PG&E Gas and Electric Design Standards and Utility Procedures
- Experience with leading or directing contracted support personnel
- AutoCAD experience
