Job Description :

Responsible for maximizing the value for one or more products, at the program level in a scaled Agile model. Defines the vision and roadmap for the program, defining and prioritizing the features / epics in the program backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and development teams.

Works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with Products Owners to ensure they are aligned on priorities.

They support and collaborate with the Product Portfolio Executive on financials throughout delivery. Is an expert of the products, business or technology domain, and the industry in which the product competes.

This role can be part of the business / LOB (recommended) or in technology. As an expert, creates the vision and roadmap for the program based on customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic direction for the business or technology domain.

Communicates the program vision and roadmap to stakeholders, Product Owners and the teams. Oversees the budget(s) for one or more products.

Provides input into defining business capabilities and aligning them to products or creating new products to support them.

Articulates the business value to Product Owners so they understand product and strategy; Ensures alignment across product roadmap to achieve portfolio objectives.

Creates and prioritizes features / epics in the program backlog; empowered to make decisions about trade-offs with emerging work versus planned work.

Refines features / epics with the Product Owners to ensure there is enough ready work for the upcoming 1-2 quarters. Reviews and accepts features / epics and is empowered to make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements.

Works in partnership with the Product Owners and the teams to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business and industry trends.

Participates and attends relevant industry events to bring points of view and trends to the Bank. May lead a Community of Practice and participate in the Center of Excellence. May manage a team.

LOB Specific Job Description

The role supports the Employee Experience Technology (EET) team under Global Technology and focuses on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.

Develops and sponsors tactics to achieve strategic objectives across functional groups. Will be responsible for driving financial health for the organizations and liaise between the business, finance, and GT partners on centralized protocols.

Function will lead business case analysis towards organization business improvement while achieving economic value against financial targets.

This person will oversee the EET tech bills for each of the 8 LOBs / TCOA / ABC Costing, capital expense management. Has an in-depth understanding of the technical aspects of EET to assist in driving economic solutions and optimization for more efficient execution.

The role requires one to be a proactive and a strategic business partner in an IT environment striving to meet current and anticipated or ad-hoc business objectives.

Key skillsets include the ability to proactively drive innovative business solutions, and uses technical, enterprise, and business knowledge to work across structures to meet business needs.

Business Management

  • Deliver financial control / forecasting routines and maintain awareness of other portfolio matters (initiative planning, risk and opportunity management, internal audits simulation) that directly impact the senior leadership teams.
  • Coordinate financial routines for operational deliverables across the entity to drive transparency and consistency across all respective business products.
  • Integrates initiatives to corresponding strategic and operational efforts and collaborates with business partners for the execution and completion of such.
  • Analyze and work with large vendor data to develop vendor spending profiles and analysis.
  • Support the development, improvement, and coordination of business case analytics; this includes financial modeling, what-if analysis, and asset management.
  • Apply commercial strategy and engage with Procurement and Sourcing partners to improve value and results.
  • Serve as GT&O process owner and embed governance and best practice process tools and analysis across COO functions as it relates to financial management and controls.
  • Document and assess best practices for consistency across routines around key processes in support of Operational Excellence.
  • Ability to work volumetric figures and understand impacts to cost structure and capacity.
  • Subject matter expert on active vendor agreements, along with related billing and invoicing oversight.
  • Ability to collaborate in identifying risks and optimize prompt remediation; collaborate on Business Continuity decisions.
  • Manage portfolios at a global scale with direct involvement with EMEA and APAC regions and ancillary support of LATAM.

Primary Skill

Required Skills :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing complex financial / business analysis, preferably in support of a technology business.
  • Strong financial background with a solid understanding of Technology Finance and Initiative processes and strong experience in corporate forecasting including base budget.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced demand-driven environment.
  • Communicates effectively and efficiently with senior management.
  • Proven strong ability to connect business strategy to financial plans and models and ensure achievement.
  • Experience in leading and / or working in cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans.
  • Understanding of various decision support tools (benchmarking, business cases, vendor and RFP analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, etc.).
  • Applies Operational Excellence; relentlessly pursues and drives work to improve processes and technology that works towards making Bank of America the best place to work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to influence and drive continuous improvement across processes.
  • Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions; knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently.
  • Enthusiasm to take on new and challenging tasks in a dynamic environment.
