Maintenance Technician 1st & 3rd Shift - (1070)

POSITION : Technician

DEPARTMENT : Maintenance

SHIFT : 1st Shift & 3rd Shift

There is an opening in the Maintenance Department for a Technician, reporting to Section Manager.

Position Summary : Increase profitability of company by reducing equipment related downtime. Have good communication between all levels of associates to ensure quality and safe working conditions.

Qualifications : (knowledge, skills and abilities) :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prefer 3 years electrical, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, air compressor, air dryer and chiller experience
• Knowledge of machine shop equipment, mechanical skills, troubleshooting, National Electric Code, OHSA regulations, blueprints and schematics preferred
• Good communication skills, ability to work independently under general supervision and ability to work overtime on short notice is required
• Knowledge of Ladder Logic and PLC experience required

Primary Position Responsibilities :

• Work with department management to schedule preventive maintenance
• Work with department management to repair equipment
• Complete work orders

• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Reading of schematics and diagrams
• Prefer 3 years electrical, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, air compressor, air dryer and chiller experience
• Knowledge of Ladder Logic and PLC experience required
• Knowledge of machine shop equipment, mechanical skills, National Electric Code, OHSA regulation
• Flexible work hours
• Computer use
• Ability to work overtime on short notices is required
