Job Description : Speech-Language Pathologist
Location : Moncks Corner, SC
Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Moncks Corner, SC. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students with speech, language, and communication disorders to reach their full potential.
This role involves working closely with students, teachers, and parents to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
- Provide therapy sessions tailored to the needs of each student.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for services and accommodations.
- Educate and support students, families, and school staff on speech and language development and disorders.
- Stay current with research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in South Carolina.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices.
