Program Overview :

Verisk s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide you with real work experience, professional development, and networking opportunities.

This is a full-time (40 hours / week) paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2025. Participation in the internship program requires that you are located near your assigned office as the program is a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to be in the office at least 2 days per week..

What You Could Learn :

• Own, run and manage assigned projects within the Legal, Compliance and Audit (LC&A) departments at Verisk
• Support one or more of Legal’s practice areas (Litigation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Intellectual Property, Privacy, Contracts, Insurance) by providing support to attorneys on their matters, including conducting research, developing summaries, etc.
• Collaborate closely with LC&A Operations team members, as well as staff within and outside of the department, to understand pain points / challenges and needs, and as requested, provide support to address those needs ( document learnings, create guides, draft process maps and RASCI charts)
• Aid in the planning, execution, and communication around LC&A staff events, including coordination of pro bono events, social activities, and learning and development ( CLE courses)
• Develop or assist in the development of PowerPoint presentations, such as decks for staff Town Halls, tutorials / walkthroughs, and more.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of both internal and customer facing LC&A departmental websites; consolidate staff resources ( staff directories, learning and development resources, calendars, FAQs, etc.)
• Perform analyses as required and summarize findings / results
• Directly support Verisk’s Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and Head of Operations for LC&A as needed

Qualifications

What we’re looking for :

Skills and Knowledge

• Undergraduate focused on a Business, Political Science and / or International Relations degree; those with an interest in business operations or pursuing law school are encouraged to apply
• Previous experience, exposure and / or demonstrated interest in project management and / or operations
• Self-motivated, savvy, and intuitive; a quick learner with initiative and intellectual curiosity
• Demonstrates a proactive mindset and approach to resolving present and anticipated tasks and challenges
• Team player with excellent organization, communication (listening, speaking, writing), and follow up skills
• Ability to play Project Manager; facilitate and shepherd projects and tasks along to be successfully delivered on time
• Must be tech forward or tech inclined; savvy and at ease with technology
• Proficient, comfortable, and experienced with MS365, including sound ability with the following programs : Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Sharepoint, Power BI, Visio and similar tools are a huge plus
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; possess an interest and understanding of data and the value of data
