Project Manager - Industrial Construction

We are currently seeking a Construction Project Manager with experience in the Industrial Segment! The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing rigging, equipment installation and erection projects in the industrial market segment.

This position will have the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis and will be responsible for the direction and performance of all aspects of the project with the support of the project team.

This position will be responsible for all Construction and Financial aspects of the project and will ensure that all work is performed in conformance with Hohl Industrial procedures and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Solicitation of work
• Interface with Clients and Owner Representatives
• Complete routine site visits with new and existing customers to solicit work
• Estimations and proposals
• Conduct site visit as needed to collect information for proper estimation of work
• Collaborate with the estimator in preparing the detailed estimates for the proposed work
• Prepare proposals and / or bid packages in accordance with project specifications
• Collaborate with safety and / or quality to assist in cost estimates as required
• Purchase orders and contracts
• Reiew terms and conditions in collaboration with procurement manager
• Analyze project scope from client against proposal
• Lead initial contract meetings with customers and / or vendors as required
• Execution of work
• Establish means and methods for the project
• Develop project schedules as required
• Plan out the work to meet or exceed customer expectations and schedule
• Collaborate with supporting functional areas of HHC for all pre-job coordination to include :
• Safety
• Quality
• Dispatch
• Tools & equipment requests
• Labor requests
• Lift plans
• Trucking
• Warehousing
• Fabrication
• Accounting
• Communication
• Creates hand-over package and reviews with Foreman at the commencement of the job. Package to include, but not limited to :
• Pre-populated timesheets
• Project schedule
• Pre-filled JSA
• Tool list
• Lift plan
• Equipment specifications
• Quality documents per project requirements
• Equipment checklist
• Review job scope, means & methods and suggested work plan with the Foreman
• Provide the Foreman with an initially completed JSA form for the specific job and collaborate to review and finalize. Execute JSA alongside Foreman at the start of the work
• Ensure the Foreman has all required labor, tools, equipment, and necessary documentation to safely and efficiently perform the scope of work
• Communicate all customer expectations and coordination requirements with the Foreman
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is performed and executed within compliance standards

• Responsible for all required documentation and overall project requirements including, but not limited to :
• Submittals
• Subcontractors / Vendors
• Purchase orders
• Job cost management
• Customer meetings
• Change orders
• Invoicing
• Record Keeping
• Safety
• Collaborate with Safety as needed in providing any new or changing project specific safety requirements for development of Safety Plans
• Provie, review and execute initial JSA to Foreman for all jobs / projects
• Participate in required site audits
• Ensure all safety related programs are in compliance
• Quality
• Review quality specific project / job requirements with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee any project / Job specific inspections conducted either internally or externally (customer and / or 3rd party)
• Accountable for project activity compliance related to Hohl's ISO / AISC quality programs.
• Some travel required
• All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience :

• BS Degree in Engineering or Associates Degree in Construction related field preferred. Work experience in related industry may substitute for education on a year for year basis.
• Five (5) plus years' experience in Project Management in construction related field
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in Industrial and Infrastructure construction is required
• OSHA 30
• Competent in communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to multi-task
• Proven success in delivering high quality projects on time and on budget
• Strong conceptual thinker; strong critical thinking skills and problem solving ability; able to multi-task and work under pressure;

strong verbal and written communication skills

Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, Outlook)
