The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the financial operations of the company, including financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, advanced analytical abilities, and a proven track record of delivering accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, reports, and schedules in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances to ensure integrity of financial information.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff, including training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
Collaborate with internal departments to support business initiatives and resolve accounting-related issues.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits, reviews, and tax filings.
Stay current on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and recommend changes as needed.
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP).
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
