Graham Technologies (GTECH) is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to work at our customer site in Washington, DC.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in systems administration, including managing and maintaining servers, networks, and IT infrastructure in a secure environment.

The System Administrator will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems that support core organizational functions.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain server and network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, conducting regular system maintenance and updates.
• Implement and maintain security protocols and procedures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with security policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, supporting end-users as needed.
• Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and recovery processes are in place.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement new IT solutions and enhancements.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in system administration and security.

Qualifications :

• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least three years of experience in system administration, focusing on managing servers and networks in a secure environment.
• Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, and Unix.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Experience implementing and maintaining security protocols, including patch management, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or similar.
• Experience with cloud platform AWS.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Experience in a government or defense contracting environment.
