Fincantieri ACE Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group company, currently has an opportunity for a Quality Systems Coordinator at the Green Bay, Wisconsin location.

Fincantieri ACE Marine is a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled aluminum construction facility. Purposely designed for assembly line manufacturing of aluminum vessels, the facility uses innovative modular construction techniques and component manufacturing.

Efficiencies in production are achieved by allowing modules to be pre-outfitted to a very high degree while internal compartments are still very accessible.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the development, review, and implementation of Company policy, procedure, plans, and work instruction.

Interview, train, and provide guidance to business unit managers and their subordinates in order to gather the necessary information to develop the required Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation.

Assess the compliance of QMS documentation with the ISO 9001 : 2015 International Standard. Communicate with executive and management personnel, and general workforce.

Perform and document Internal Audits, and conduct follow-up audits to verify effectiveness. Coordinate and schedule company internal auditors as well as external audits.

Within this role you will work closely with members of our Fincantieri EHS community to develop FAM's ISO 14000 and 45001 programs.

Lastly, this role is actively involved with ensuring our Green Marine Program continues to develop and move our environmental stewardship forward.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the development, review, and implementation of contract and regulatory requirements into company procedures, plans, and work instructions.
  • Interview, train, and provide guidance (via auditing) to business unit managers and their subordinates in order to gather the necessary information to develop the required QMS documentation.
  • Assess the compliance of QMS documentation with the ISO 9001 : 2015 International Standard.
  • Responsible for evaluating corrective measures for implementation and effectiveness resulting from audits and nonconformance's.
  • Responsible for the scheduling, planning, execution, and documentation of internal audits.
  • Coordinate audits with external regulatory and contractual agencies
  • Work with Management staff to encourage continuous improvement projects
  • Conduct new hire indoctrination training
  • Communicate deliverables to contractual agencies
  • Update and maintain reportable information to department and company leads
  • Maintains a commitment to the company vision and the "spirit" of the organization.
  • Must accept travel assignments to vendor sites and sister companies.
  • Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or High School Diploma with 5 years experience. Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Education and / or training providing qualification as a Lead Auditor in accordance with the ISO9001 : 2015 standard. Ideally, certification in ISO 14001 : 2015, and ISO 45001 : 2018 preferred.

SKILLS :

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional Suite & networking.
  • Familiarity with all business functions and terminology in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Metals fabrication background is a plus.
  • Must have ability to comprehend and apply Military and regulatory standards in all phases of ship construction.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong internal drive.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
