A Small World Pediatric Dentistry is offering a gratifying opportunity for a dedicated Treatment Coordinator to join our expanding pediatric dental office.
Located on the scenic Scottsdale-North Phoenix border, our busy, family-oriented practice provides personalized and exceptional dental care for children.
This is a full-time position in a rapidly growing office environment that is not remote and necessitates an on-site presence.
The role of the Treatment Coordinator is crucial in our efforts to facilitate effective treatment planning and enhance patient satisfaction through flawless service delivery and communication.
The successful candidate will be the front-line liaison between our young patients, their families, and our team of dental professionals.
You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth, efficient, and friendly experience from the initial point of contact until the completion of treatment, epitomizing our commitment to first-rate pediatric dental care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the presentation of treatment plans and options to patients and their families, ensuring comprehensive communication about the procedures, costs, and expected outcomes.
- Efficient scheduling of appointments to ensure optimal workflow and patient satisfaction.
- Proactive follow-up on unscheduled treatments to optimize treatment completion rates.
- Verification of patient insurance coverage and clarification of benefits and patient financial responsibilities.
- Handle second-line phone calls including patient enquiries, booking adjustments, and other related issues.
- Provide support to other front desk responsibilities as a part of the broader administrative team, fostering an environment of teamwork and seamless service provision.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation pertaining to treatment plans and financial transactions.
- Monitor and report on treatment plan progress and outcomes, contributing to practice management and continuous quality improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, ensuring a trustworthy and caring rapport is established and maintained.
- Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications to improve skills and service delivery.
- Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping personal information confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office setting, with specific experience as a Treatment Coordinator highly preferable.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures with the capability to communicate effectively about treatment plans and dental health.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and energetic demeanor that places patient comfort and understanding foremost.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
- High proficiency in managing and operating practice management software and adept at handling administrative tasks digitally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate patient care and office dynamics efficiently.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning to ensure the latest in pediatric dental care practices and administration.
- Must display a high level of professionalism and operate under strict confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of patient information.
- Required certifications / licensing where applicable, and a thorough understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA.
