CLINICAL SUPERVISOR CONGREATE HRA (Bronx)

Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified New York State LMSW in Social Work with at least four (4) years supervisory experience, overseeing a case management team. The ideal candidate will have individual, family, and group counseling experience, particularly with HIV / AIDS affected populations and / or mental health and substance abuse individuals who were formerly homeless. Preference is given to persons with experience in congregate programs, and those who are bi-lingual and bi-cultural in Spanish.

Responsibilities include extensive knowledge of principles and practices of HIV / AIDS case management supervision, knowledge of HRA Congregate Housing Program guidelines, and the ability to communicate effectively in writing, vocally, and to listen actively. The candidate must be community-minded, patient, creative, flexible, compassionate, and culturally sensitive to persons who are diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with other Comunilife employees, federal, state, and city officials, professional and technical groups, clients, and the general public.
