The Opportunity
Lesley’s Graduate Program in Expressive Therapies is seeking a qualified Expressive Arts Therapist to supervise a group of low-residency interns in their first of two placement years (PY).
These are second year students in a three-year program.
This is a faculty supervisor role, overseeing a single group of expressive arts therapy students for the full academic year.
The Adjunct Faculty member will teach a 2.5 day in-person summer workshop July 24-26th 2024. This workshop will be followed in Fall and Spring by a two-course sequence taught online, with a weekly 1 hour OR biweekly 2-hour zoom supervision meeting.
This seminar will provide university supervision while the students are interning at PY1 placements. This first placement occurs during the second year of the three-year program.
Course Description :
The focus of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the theoretical and practical bases of the clinical mental health counseling process.
Students begin to develop counseling and expressive therapies competencies and practice skills and interventions with a variety of populations and settings.
The course provides a forum for the discussion and supervision of case materials as well as addressing issues of concern that may arise in clinical practice.

Qualities and Capabilities :
The successful candidate will have :
A master’s degree in expressive arts therapy; REAT credential preferred.
A masters'-level clinical license in their state of residence, or licensure eligibility with a commitment to gaining licensure within the year.
A full 3 years of post-licensure work experience.
Graduate Teaching and Clinical Supervision experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, your visa status must allow you to work at Lesley University.
