PRIMARY FUNCTION :

The Technology Services Coordinator arranges and performs activities necessary for installation and technical support of computer, hardware and software, and computer-related media equipment. The Coordinator also performs technical duties in the analysis of defined systems specifications, defined applications, design, programming and testing of relational database programs.

RESPONSIBILTIES / PERFORMANCE STANDARDS :

• Performs activities necessary for support of computers, computer labs, and multimedia classrooms.
• Responsible for administering and maintaining College Telecommunication System and Teleconference (Interactive Video) System.
• Responsible for College Multimedia maintenance and support.
• Updates and maintains the Broadcast system.
• Performs installation, upgrades, preventive maintenance, cleaning and repair of computers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment at all college sites.
• Serves as primary and / or backup technical support for one or more networked application services or limited-scope security and control systems. Establishes and maintains accounts and access controls within these systems (including but not limited to : course management systems, inventory control, help desk, antivirus servers, intranet servers, print servers, wireless security services, and document management services).
• Works with the Director of Technology Services and the Systems Administrator to incorporate application services into the overall network and telecommunications services infrastructure.
• Performs independent testing, monitoring, and analysis of limited scope and / or component services and systems.
• Recommends improvements for the efficient operation and support of SRC technology. May serve as part of a team, to include leader, in a selection / evaluation process.
• Installs software and configures network clients, networked printers, and other hardware.
• Assists faculty and staff with software and / or hardware problems.
• Develops and maintains documentation reflecting the current Technology Services standards for installation of standard computer hardware and software and media equipment.
• Assist chief information officer with processing Telephone billing and contracts.
• Coordinates and tracks technology requisitions and orders.
• Assists with the coordination of work tasks and helps in training the Technology Services interns, and student workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical demands for this position include the ability to regularly sit, use hands and finger, talk and hear. This position requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping / kneeling and climbing. Vision requirements for this position include close vision including the ability to view text from a computer monitor. This position requires some driving, the majority of which is within the College district. This position requires lifting weight up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance.

Work environment for this position includes typical office environment with no extremes in temperature, noise, and limited physical risk.
