is a leading Media Sales Firm in Dallas representing national publishers throughout the Southwest territory (TX, LA, OK, AR, NM, CO). Currently representing AARP Media, our team is growing, and we are looking for an ambitious, self‑motivated Media Sales Representative who’s passionate about media, has a personable character, strong negotiation skills, and is confident with communication, writing, and presenting skills, and committed to achieving results. Responsibilities
Studies and understands all facets of print, digital, social, CTV, YouTube, & programmatic media products being offered by the publisher
Trains in various sales tactics and approaches
Prospects, develops, and closes clients through new leads, cold calls, existing relationships, promotional events, or other means
Hones and delivers a skilled sales pitch to potential clients, either virtually or in person
Works directly with companies & agencies within the Southwest to understand marketing needs and develops customized media solutions to achieve their objectives
Creates proposals and negotiates budgets
Owns the entire sales process from prospecting to completion of the sale
Adds notes to records for each client call or meeting
Tracks every media buy to ensure it is completed accurately and on time
Meets and exceeds individual sales goals
Maintains excellent relationships with all clients in the portfolio
Limited travel to see clients, attend tradeshows, or participate in industry events or trainings
Meets clients outside of normal business hours when necessary
Qualifications
1 year of Print & Digital Media Sales (preferred)
Meet and exceed monthly sales goals
Prospect and cold call businesses daily
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor Degree in business, communication, marketing or advertising (preferred)
Manage sales activity and pipeline to meet sales targets
Passion, enthusiasm and motivation to close new business
Maintain an active schedule of appointments and prospecting calls
Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities
Retain and grow client base
