About the Role : Release Manager

As a Release Manager at Frontline Insurance, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the end-to-end release process for our enterprise systems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely, high-quality releases while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive release calendar, ensuring alignment across all relevant teams.
  • Document release processes, deployment plans, rollback strategies, and post-release reviews.
  • Coordinate software deployments across various environments, ensuring system stability.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews with Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to optimize CI / CD pipelines and align release management with continuous integration practices.
  • Assess and mitigate release-related risks, ensuring minimal impact on systems and business operations.
  • Leverage automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Docker to streamline deployment, testing, and rollback processes.
  • Monitor and manage software versions across different release phases, working with service vendors to ensure pipeline quality.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all release communications, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to release management and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and mentorship on release management best practices.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in software release management.
  • Hands-on experience with CI / CD pipelines, version control systems, and relevant tools (JIRA, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and industry best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
