Overview :

  • A leading Northern California Rice Mill is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Export Logistics Coordinator to join its team.
  • This role serves as the primary link between the rice mill, international customers, and logistics partners, ensuring shipments are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.
  • The position is critical in managing export documentation, coordinating logistics, and providing outstanding customer service to both domestic and international clients.

Requirements / Job Duties :

  • Prepare, review, and process all export shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, letters of credit, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, USDA, FDA, and other applicable government requirements.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and logistics providers to arrange shipments.
  • Process a high volume of export orders, change notices, and invoicing accurately and on schedule.
  • Communicate shipment details, schedules, and documentation requirements with customers, sales, and production teams.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery; provide proactive updates to customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve discrepancies, delays, or export compliance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and customer correspondence.
  • Support sales team with quotes, pricing, and account setup as needed.
  • Work closely with operations and sales to track orders, handle special product or order requests, and communicate updates across teams and customers via phone, email, or in person.
  • Perform administrative tasks (data entry, word processing, filing, copying, office organization and housekeeping duties) and cross-train with the administrative team.
  • Demonstrate initiative in superior customer care through research and responsiveness when requested information is not readily available.
  • Ensure adherence to customer service policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years of customer service, logistics, or export documentation experience (agriculture / food industry preferred).
  • General knowledge of export regulations, international shipment terms (Incoterms), and documentation requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); General QuickBooks experience is a plus.
  • A two-year degree, relevant certifications, or equivalent work experience (3-5 years) in a related field accepted.

  • Compensation & Benefits :

  • This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $28-$32, along with medical insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and retirement contributions.
  • There is also an opportunity for a bonus based on business results, as well as upward mobility within the company.
