Branch Controller - Clearwater, FL

We are excited toadd a Controller to our growing team in Clearwater,FL.
This is an on-site "seat at the table" role that will direct the financial accountingand reporting activities of the organization, ensure the integrityof the department’s policies, along with establishing accountingprocedures and reporting guidelines.
The Controller will overseeaccounts payable, accounts receivable, cash accounting, andpreparation of financial statements, coordination with externalauditors, tax filings, and monitor capital expenditures.
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE OPPORTUNITY. This position will bebased at our office in Clearwater, FL.
Responsibilities :
- Business Partner to General Managers, SVP, VP,Directors, and Managers, assists with special projects asnecessary.
- Manage Accounting staff, AccountsPayable and Accounts Receivable.
- Assess / defineand execute specific opportunities with organic gross margin,working capital and operating efficiencies.
- Responsible for implementation and compliance IFRS, GAAP,and internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data andsafeguarding of company assets.
- Responsiblefor the accounting close process.
- Preparesperiodic and ad hoc financial reporting data asrequired.
- Prepares financial statements andother reports for management that summarize results of theoperations.
- Prepares budget variance and trendanalysis of profit and loss / balance sheet and variousfinancial / operational ratios.
- Review analysiswith management to assist operating locations in meeting financialand operational objectives.
- Responsible forcoordinating and preparing annual budgets.
- Coordinates financial audits with external / internalauditors and assists with other financial related regulatoryaudits.
- Review, analyze and monitor bad debtand inventory provision accruals.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance orclosely related field of study; CPA is a plus.
- Five or more years of progressive professional experiencein accounting and financial analysis.
- Previousknowledge of the SAGE Enterprise, TM1, HFM, andBlackline desired.
- Strong understandingof internal controls and SOX compliance.
- Independent and self-motivated, with a proven ability towork with minimal supervision.
- Ability toperform in a fast-paced and tight deadline environment, whileremaining proactive, detail-oriented, resourceful andefficient.
- Strong analytical skills withability to gather and organize data to drive importantdecision-making discussions, including reporting, and presentingfindings after analyzing information.
- AdvancedExcel (lookups, pivot tables, charts) required.
