The Fuel Transportation Driver provides professional commercial operation of fuel trucks while complying with all Federal and State Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements regarding operation of a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV).
This person is a critical team member, working closely on a daily basis with the dispatch team, Hub Manager and mechanics to coordinate the safety of self, the community, and the environment.
Schedule : Night shift driver, including weekends, with two weekdays off (Tues / Wed or Wed / Thurs).

Essential Functions and Duties
- Independently works under general direction of supervisor, transporting fuel to various locations
- Performs DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Completes start of shift load sheet
- Utilizes Electronic Log Device (ELD) for daily logging of activity
- Alerts dispatch of all malfunctions of the ELD for audit and correction
- Reviews ELD and ensures compliance
- Follows all rules and regulations required at loading facilities
- Takes initiative to keep equipment clean and in good working condition
- Basic technology / computer knowledge to operate Company computer / laptop / tablets
- Cooperates with dispatch on scheduling
- Reports site issues to supervisor with sense urgency
- Works with Fleet manager to schedule maintenance for vehicles
- Maintains necessary license credentials and Medical Card
- Completes ongoing safety training
- Provides input on processes, procedures, or new approaches
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Class A commercial driving experience
- Possession of or ability to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL)HAZMAT / Tank Endorsement
- Valid Medical Examiners Certificate from an approved provider
- Less than 3 moving violations in 36 months reported on Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) report
- No at-fault accidents in 36-month period
- Mountain and adverse weather driving experience required
- Excellent communication skills

- Must be available to drive at night and on weekends, with two weekdays off per week.
- Must be able to pass and maintain DOT physical
- Must be able to climb into and out of truck several times per day using 3 points of contact
- Constant physical effort required, including standing, sitting, bending, crouching, over an 8 to 12-hour work shift
- Ability to handle and carry hoses overhead for extended periods of time
- Frequently work with hands in the following manners : use of power tools, dexterity in handling levers, controls, and truck equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds several times per day
- Ability to lift and carry chains weighing up to 50lbs or more, up to 50 feet, as seasonal weather determines
- Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground, in varying weather conditions
- Ability to see and read up close and at a distance, with or without glasses or contacts
- Standing and / or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and / or pull light to moderate amounts of weight
- Ability to drive mountain roads at night in adverse weather conditions, such as snow and ice
Minimum Requirements
- High school graduate, GED, or relevant work experience
- 21 years or older
- Employment contingent upon completion of background screening to the satisfaction of the Company
