About the position :
We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established family practice Their clinic has been a part of the Poway community for over 40 years.
Because they are located in Old Poway , the outside of their building looks old-fashioned, but the inside is a state-of-the-art medical facility.
They provide high-quality wellness, medical and surgical care, with an emphasis on client communication. They want their clients to be confident that their staff is always working with them to provide the best care possible for their pets on an individual basis.
Their staff is friendly, compassionate, hard-working and well trained. They work together to maintain a positive work environment and have many long-term employees as a result.
Three of their veterinarians worked for them as technicians, and then returned to their clinic to work after vet school.

Job Responsibilities
- Builds rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns
- Performs physical examinations and diagnostic / medical / surgical / dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
- Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
- Maintains client / patient medical / surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
- Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
- Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
- Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Requirements :
DVM or equivalent
