Job Description :
Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Responsible for developing cohesive vendor relationships that improve vendor costs, risks, and performance metrics across the organization.
Oversees key vendor relationships to ensure consistent delivery of best-in-class services. Leverages supplier capabilities for all procurement categories, while delivering on cost reduction targets and maintaining the quality of vendor performance.
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
What You’ll Do
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitors supplier positions within the marketplace to mitigate risks. Reduces supply risk exposure through the identification of new suppliers.
Manages Preferred Vendor transactions including : assisting engagement owners and managers with Inherent Risk Assessment questionnaires, the remediation of issues, vendor scorecards, the facilitation of periodic risk reviews by subject matter experts, and the deactivation and termination of completed engagements.
Partners with TPRM on risk assessments and scorecards.
Oversees key vendor relationships to centralize and consistently deliver best-in-class services. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to improve relationships.
Executes business unit and procurement alignment strategies. Shares demand forecasts to support optimal vendor performance.
Identifies vendor performance gaps and drives the completion of improvement activities or vendor action plans. Develops, maintains, and generates vendor performance reports for management.
Reviews historical data to analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that address and / or capitalize on trends.
Identifies volatile commodity prices and alerts business leaders. Partners with management to identify and maximize opportunities to use information, technology, and reporting to improve performance and business processes.
Develops and conducts tactical and reporting strategies to support vendor placement goals including : financial, quality, production, customer service, and operational efficiency.
Analyzes vendor activities and trends. Compares vendor performance against standards and best practices. Identifies strategic opportunities and provides recommendations to management.
Partners with team members on vendor negotiations. Delivers on cost reduction targets while balancing and maintaining the quality of vendor performance.
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, Arts or related field
6+ years of experience in Sourcing or related experience
Preferred
Master’s Degree in Business, Arts or related field
8+ years of experience in Sourcing or related experience
Project Management
Lean Six Sigma

Compensation : The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.
