JOIN OUR TEAM of dedicated professionals in fostering hope and transforming lives. As a Forensic Social Worker, you will provide mental health preventative and crisis response services and supports to inmates of the Butler County Jail.
Services are available to those who demonstrate a need for services or initiate services while incarcerated. The scope of this service is prevention and crisis intervention services with the goal of maintaining stability and successfully transitioning to community-based services and supports upon release from incarceration.

Performs crisis intervention services including the urgent evaluation of risk of lethality, propensity to violence and mental status.
Assess individuals through conversations, interviews and observations to determine crisis plan and response.Makes recommendations for further assessment or treatment.
Develops safety plans as needed to maintain safety.Conducts screening for psychiatric service supports at the jail.Qualifications : Must be licensed in the State of Ohio - LSW or LISW.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related Human Service Field or equivalency.Knowledge of the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) and ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.
Knowledge of and experience in diagnostic assessments, cognitive behavioral therapeutic modalities and trauma-informed care.
Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams.Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems.
