What you'll do :
Western Alliance Bank Corporation is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Second Line of Defense Third-Party Risk Senior Analyst to join our Third-Party risk management team in the second line of defense (TPRM).
The successful candidate will take on a critical role enhancing and executing the bank's third-party risk management framework in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements set forth by the Federal Reserve Board (FRB), the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the bank's risk management framework and play a key role in safeguarding our institution against third-party risks.
What we are looking for :
Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and oversee a comprehensive TPRM framework, in line with Interagency Guidance on Third-Party Relationships : Risk Management guidance, including OCC Bulletin 2013-29, OCC Bulletin 2020-10, FDIC guidance, and FRB expectations.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of third-party relationships and engagements, identifying potential risks and providing actionable recommendations to mitigate them.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the bank's third-party risk management processes and control activities, including enterprise functions such as RCSAs, KRIs, Issue Management, Board and committee reporting among others, that cascade to the TPRM space.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the first line of defense, to provide credible challenges on activities such as due diligence and third-party selection, contract negotiation, ongoing monitoring, termination, and planning of third-party relationships and engagements.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices related to third-party risk management, and incorporate relevant updates into the bank's TPRM framework, processes, and procedures.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.
g., Certified Third-Party Risk Professional) is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a risk management or compliance role within the financial services industry, with a focus on third-party risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of FRB regulations, OCC, and FDIC guidance related to third-party risk management, including but not limited to OCC Bulletin 2013-29 and FDIC FIL-44-2008.
