Salary Range : The posted UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and / or step at appointment.
A reasonable estimate for this position is $66,259-$100,224. The starting compensation for teaching one course in the summer is $7,076.
Percent Time : 44% to 50% per course, depending on teaching responsibilities.
Anticipated Start : For Fall Semester : July 1, or August 1; For Spring Semester : January 1; For Summer Semester : June 20.
Review Timeline : Appointments for the fall semester are usually reviewed in May, for the spring semester in November, and for Summer in April.
Please note : The use of a lecturer pool does not guarantee that an open position exists.

Position Description
The Department of Mathematics at the University of California invites applications for a pool of qualified non-tenure track lecturers to teach a range of mathematics courses.
Teaching Responsibilities : We are seeking outstanding lecturers capable of teaching one or more courses in the undergraduate mathematics curriculum.
Courses will be assigned on an as-needed basis.
General Duties : In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.
g., syllabus), maintaining a course website, and using a learning management system (e.g., bCourses at UC Berkeley, Canvas, etc.).

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications : Applicants must have an advanced degree or be enrolled in an advanced degree program at the time of application.
Additional Qualifications : An advanced degree is required by the start date.
Preferred Qualifications : PhD (or equivalent international degree) in Mathematics or related field, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and documented experience in teaching at the college level.
