About The Position
Job Title : Nurse Practitioner Job Specialty : Locum - Nurse Practitioner Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 3x13.0 or 7on / 7off 13-hour shifts, Days / Nights, Weekends, Holidays, On Call Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 3 years critical care NP experience License : New York State license required Certifications : Acute Care NP certified or NCCPA certified Must-Have : - Arterial / Main Line Placement experience - Neurosurgical or Neurology experience highly preferred Job Description : Opportunity to work in the Neuromedical ICU- Provide direct care for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures and medical neurology patients- Responsibilities include admission work-ups, daily management (complex ventilator management, central lines, arterial lines, transfer / discharge)- Precept students and support unit-based nurses- Must be motivated, flexible, and independent with excellent clinical skills in critical care- Participate in the education of learners (students and new employees) through clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training Preferred Skills : - Precepting - Mentoring
