Job Description

The Ares team is seeking a Senior HR Reporting and Analytics Manager to join the HR Reporting and Analytics team within the Human Resources organization.

This position will report directly to the Global HR Reporting and Analytics Lead. The individual in this role will play a critical function in Ares’ HR strategic agenda by executing the global HR reporting and analytics strategy.

The individual will partner closely with the HR leadership team to ensure that HR data enables leadership to manage the business, make decisions, and drive success.

The AVP will also lead a team of onsite and offshore resources to manage data inquiries, reports, dashboards, tools, and metrics, while ensuring data governance and consistent dissemination of information.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an analytical individual with a demonstrated track record of working successfully with HR data, systems, and Business Intelligence tools.

Supervises : HR Reporting and Analytics Associates (2 globally)

Primary Functions And Essential Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Work closely with the Global HR Reporting and Analytics Lead to build-out and deliver a world class HR Reporting and Analytics organization.
  • Support HR Functions such as talent development, talent acquisition, talent management, compensation, and diversity, equity and inclusion, by partnering closely with senior leaders to deliver value-add dashboards, metrics, reports, and analyses, that will further enable Ares to make data-driven decisions.
  • Manage a team of onsite and offshore resources to automate, standardize, schedule, and publish key reports, dashboards and analyses to help disseminate data and insights to key leaders and business stakeholders.
  • Become a trusted advisor to the business by conceptualizing, developing, and delivering metrics and insights that will drive improvements in service delivery and operational effectiveness in key business areas.
  • Support the evolution of our HR reporting and analytics to a more sustainable and scalable solution, in partnership with our HR Information Systems team and all HR colleagues.

Help define, review, implement and support the roll out of the BI strategy and tools.

  • Manage and guide junior resources in daily operations. Support the leaders to manage business as usual activities, such as ad-hoc data requests and recurring reports.
  • Continuously look for efficiency gains and synergies, for example, develop tools to automate frequent reports, define business process improvements and automations by partnering with other teams in the organization as needed (e.g., IT, F&A).
  • Represent the Reporting & Analytics team in HR projects with a reporting dependency, oversee and ensure the requirements are met, a sustainable approach is implemented, and reporting needs are met.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and respond to the increasing responsibilities of the existing reporting areas and requests to enhance dashboards / tools / reports.
  • Liaise with HR and HRIS teams to implement efficiencies in existing processes through report generation.
  • Oversee, monitor and ensure that HR data is entered correctly and regularly reviewed for accuracy; establish a protocol for data review and corrections.
  • Provide expertise as it relates to best practices and industry trends in data governance and data management strategies.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business or a related field
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience Required

  • 7-10 years of experience in applicable analytics and reporting experience for Human Resources.
  • Experience working and leading in a global organization required.
  • Experience working with a global team and manage offshore resources required.
  • Acute analytical skills with proficiency in data cleaning, data manipulation, data visualization and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Visier; ability to create complex formulas in MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems; experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentations skill with an ability to explain the data and insight to key stakeholders in a digestible format.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, as well as global and local compliance requirements.

General Requirements

  • HR experience required, particularly in workforce planning and analytics, or in an HR area where the analysis, and interpretation of large volumes of data are combined to build compelling storylines to support key business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working with analytics, familiarity with statistical methods (e.g. regression analysis) and advanced skills in data manipulation & transformation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data, analysis, and insights in a clear, easy to digest, and actionable way.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong customer-service mindset and hands-on approach to driving process improvement.
  • Exceptional strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus.

Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.

$145,000-$170,000
