Pay : $32 / Hour
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have experience in special education and a strong commitment to providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.
As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and fostering a supportive learning environment for students in a virtual setting.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver Virtual Instruction : Provide synchronous and asynchronous instruction to students with diverse learning needs through a virtual platform.
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) : Collaborate with parents, school administrators, and other stakeholders to develop and implement IEPs tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Adapt Curriculum : Modify and adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet the individualized needs of students with disabilities.
- Provide Support : Offer ongoing support and feedback to students to facilitate their academic and social-emotional growth.
- Monitor Progress : Assess student progress regularly using a variety of assessment tools and adjust instruction as needed to ensure learning goals are met.
- Collaborate with Team Members : Work collaboratively with other educators, special education staff, and related service providers to coordinate support services for students.
- Maintain Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, IEPs, and communication with stakeholders.
- Professional Development : Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in special education and virtual instruction.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid teaching license in Special Education in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to students with learning disabilities, autism, emotional / behavioral disorders, and intellectual disabilities.
- Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and technology tools for instruction.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individualized needs of students.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and meeting the diverse needs of all learners.
