They are in search of a dynamic and experienced Principal Controls Systems Engineer to join their team and lead the control systems engineering efforts.
About the role : The Principal Controls Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced control systems for our products and processes.
This role requires a deep understanding of control theory, automation, and systems integration. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the highest standards of quality and performance in control systems design and implementation.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct system modeling, simulation, and analysis to validate control strategies.
- Lead the design and development of control systems, including hardware and software components.
- Manage and lead control systems projects from concept to completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in control systems engineering and incorporate relevant innovations.
Qualifications :
- Engineering degree in Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in control systems engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Direct prior Oil and Gas experience 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in control theory, automation, and systems integration.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other control systems technologies.
- Prior experience with Emerson Delta V and or Honeywell Experion preferred.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C / C++, Python, MATLAB / Simulink, or similar.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
