Chief Estimator
Goodall Brazier are partnered with a leading contractor in the Water / Wastewater space, who are looking for a Chief Estimator to oversee all bids and preconstruction work for their Water / Wastewater division across California.
Responsibilities :
- Provide leadership and support to the team.
- Ensure the acquisition and availability of trade contracts, services, and materials as required.
- Collaborate with the team to assess change orders against contracts and evaluate cost estimates.
- Support and contribute to weekly progress updates.
- Coordinate with the project engineering team to process submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Conduct routine meetings to monitor, identify, and resolve issues, ensuring the seamless progression of construction projects.
- Possess a strong understanding of quality requirements and ensure the planning, execution, and documentation of quality activities align with contract specifications.
- Take responsibility for the safe conduct of personnel, ensuring compliance with contracted safety requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Over 8 years of experience in electrical, controls, or instrumentation.
- Specific electrical experience in the water and wastewater industry.
- On-site construction field experience.
