Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial cabinetry in the United States is seeking finish technicians / machine repair technicians for their 2nd shift.

Finish Technician / Machine Repair Technician Summary :

• $21.37 / hr ($19.37 + $2.00 / hr shift premium)
• Full Time : 2nd Shift 3pm - 11 : 30pm + overtime as needed
• Working with a team, after completing 3 day training program, to repair and maintain production equipment in a safe and efficient condition while performing all other tasks required to support manufacturing.
• Using hand tools, power tools, forklift, scissor lift, and ladders.
• Participate in all safety training provided including scissor lift and fork truck.
• Correct and improvement of all finish area machine conditions.
• Follow and complete work orders.
• Mentor and improve finish equipment setup, operation, startup and shutting down tasks.
• Responsible for machine performance.
• Perform as back up for spray booth operator and pump room attendants.
• Respond as needed to machine downtime issues, evaluate and repair or assist as needed to resume operations on timely basis working overtime if needed.
• Troubleshooting of equipment or machine failures and quality issues using problem solving skills.
• Work independently or with a team demonstrating cooperation and strong teamwork with direct supervision.
• Communicate at a technical level with teammates as well as communicating to production team members regarding the performance of the finish equipment.
• Work closely with Maintenance on larger scale issues.
• Basic electrical knowledge to read schematics of new or existing equipment including knowledge on functionality of equipment under human machine interfaces.

Finish Technician / Machine Repair Technicians Qualifications :

• HS Diploma / GED is preferred, but not required.
• Experience in repair and set up of machines.
• Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 100lbs.
• The ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop an entire shift (can be 8-10 hours)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Forklift experience
• Scissor lift experience
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
