Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Dietitian to join our staff to care for patients in the acute hospital setting ! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department : CMH dietitians provide various services to help patients improve their nutritional intake. They tailor services to each person's needs.

A typical day includes : the acute care dietitian is responsible for providing nutrition care and education to in-patients admitted to the hospital.

  • Assisting in continuous quality improvement activities, outcomes tracking, in-service for department and the CMH system.
  • Providing community education as indicated; maintains all required documentation; assists with the development and implementation of program operations and materials.
  • Providing medical nutrition therapy to assigned at-risk patients according to established Standards of Nutrition Care. Nutrition care resource for the healthcare team. Documents assessment, nutrition plan, and response to nutrition intervention.
  • Instructing patients and / or significant others in nutrition modifications per protocol. Documents response to nutrition education

Job Requirements :

  • Education : Baccalaureate degree in food and nutrition or dietetics from an accredited university with an approved internship or qualifying experience required.
  • Experience : Preferred experience of 1 year minimum caring for patients in the acute care setting, including, but not limited to, those on the medical / surgical floors, and progressive / intensive care units
  • Skills : organization, able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking
  • Licensure / Certification : Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or RD eligible; State of Missouri license as a licensed dietitian(LD) or LD eligible
  • Physical : ability to be mobile and ability to stand for periods of time.

    • The position is : PRN with a rotating weekend and holiday on-call schedule as well as occasional vacation coverage for FT staff.
