We are actively seeking a Senior Vice President of Accounting and Finance who will play a critical role in overseeing all accounting and finance activities of the organization.

The role is the right hand to the CFO, with high visibility from the C-Suite and Board level and will be key in continuing to develop the foundation, team, systems, and processes to support growing complexity setting the roadmap and execute improvements for public readiness.

This position is pivotal to foster a team environment that promotes high- performance, collaboration, ownership, and individual development and is also responsible for overseeing all aspects associated with financial reporting, including the preparation of financial reports to the executive management team and Board of Directors in a timely and accurate fashion.

What You Will Do :

  • Strategic Financial Management : Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goas and objectives, and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Financial Operations : Responsible for full cycle Accounting operations, including monthly close, payables, receivables, and tax and financial statements preparation and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting.

Maintains General Ledger accuracy and integrity.

  • Process Improvement : Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures and oversee audit process.
  • Revenue Cycle Metrics : Closely monitor revenue cycle metrics and identify and address performance concerns proactively providing insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting : Responsible for the preparation of the Consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows and Equity Roll-forward), inclusive of consolidations and intercompany eliminations and shared functions.

Responsible for preparation of Lender reporting package and assisting in covenant calculation maintenance and overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.

  • Risk Management : Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks and develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
  • Compliance : Follow financial, regulatory and internal control compliance. Adhere to ethical standards set by accounting bodies and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

Coordinate the maintenance of business licenses in respective jurisdictions with Corporate and Regional Controllers.

Leadership and Team Management : Lead, mentor and develop the finance and accounting team, ensure the team’s alignment with company’s goals and performance metrics.

And foster a culture of professional development and continuous improvement.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Provide financial insight and support in the areas of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow.
  • In charge of all acquisition accounting abiding to GAAP, inclusive of initial account, ledger and subledger setup. In charge of interpreting purchase agreement terms and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the accounting data.
  • Point lead person in external financial audit.

  • Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools to manage financial data, generate reports, and conduct analysis effectively.

  • High standards : Expects personal performance to be nothing short of the best.

Your Experience :

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required with solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
  • CPA, active or CCIFP. Excellent technical accounting skills.
  • Big 4 accounting or construction experience desired.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial and accounting leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Experience with accounting system implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with good work ethic, positive attitude, and attention to detail & accuracy.
  • Excellent critical and strategic thinking.
  • Perform accurately in a fast-paced, goal-based environment, and ability to adapt to a growing business
