Job Summary
The office nurse provides direct and indirect patient care in an office setting, utilizing the nursing process and upholding professional standards.
Prioritizing patient care based on physical and psychosocial needs, the nurse communicates with healthcare providers regarding patient status.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Conduct assessment data collection on all patients using EMR tools / forms
- Provide age-appropriate care in the community setting
- Document procedures and administer medications in EMR
- Deliver medication and observe patient for any adverse effects
- Maintain knowledge of medications and their administration
- Assist providers with procedures and technical / manual skills
Education / Experience Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Licensure / Certification Requirements
- Current New York State Professional Nursing Registration
- BLS Certification
