Position Summary : To coordinate and implement nursing care in a timely and accurate manner for orthopedic and spine patients.
Position Requirements :
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Additional certifications required for specific units such as telemetry, float pool, critical care, oncology, adult and pediatric emergency, and pediatric medical surgical
- Prior experience in relevant patient care delivery settings
- Proficiency with standard patient care equipment and systems
Physical Effort :
- Requires prolonged standing and working for up to twelve hours a day
- Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs

- Performs comprehensive patient assessments
- Develops individualized patient care plans
- Executes treatments, procedures, and medication administration safely and accurately
- Documents patient information accurately and in a timely manner
- Accepts charge responsibilities and facilitates staff development
- Maintains a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and families
- Upholds position-specific qualifications and responsibilities
