Randstad is seeking a talented Lab Assistant with a background in sample processing, analysis and quality control. As the selected candidate, you will perform routine, analytical testing in a 24 hour / 7 day week lab.Work hours are 10 : 30pm - 6 : 30am Monday -Friday. You must be flexible with schedules as shift changes and overtime are possible.The is a fully onsite position in Muscatine, Iowa. Local candidates preferred as relocation cost reimbursement is not available.

salary : $25 - $26.5 per hour

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Include :

  • Preparing and analyzing samples using analytical equipment (pH meters, density meters, viscometers, etc.) and operating laboratory information systems.
  • Accurate record-keeping, compliance with ISO standards, daily instrument calibrations, and maintaining safety practices.

Must Haves :

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field of study is a plus.
  • A background in chemical analyses and 4-6 years of experience is preferred, along with basic knowledge of HPLC and GC operations.
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot instrument issues.
