Associate Attorney (Commercial Litigation)

Carterwill Search is partnered with a New York City based firm (nationally-recognized franchise and business law practice) and we are actively recruiting commercial litigation associates with at least four years of relevant experience to join our team.
Must be admitted in New York.
Ideal experience with complex research assignments, drafting substantive motions, working on and / or managing discovery projects with outsourced and in-house resources, and preparing for depositions and trials.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements
- Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Manage a caseload and ensure deadlines are met
Skills :
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in conducting legal research using Westlaw
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate with clients on a variety of issues
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
