Job Description :
We are looking for a professional who has experience in permitting and compliance, as well as planning and development. You will be responsible for reviewing and processing various types of applications related to land use, development, and public safety, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
You will also coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders on development projects and issues, and provide technical assistance and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities :
- Review and process zoning, planned development, real estate development, permitting, annexation, platting, sub-division, land acquisition, easements, special use permits, engineering and building permits applications.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards related to land use, environmental protection, and public safety.
- Coordinate and collaborate with various departments, agencies, developers, contractors, engineers, and consultants on development projects and issues.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to internal and external customers on permitting and compliance requirements and procedures.
- Prepare and present reports, recommendations, and findings to management, boards, commissions, and other stakeholders.
Skills
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to land use, environmental protection, and public safety.
- Skills in project management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Education / Experience
- A bachelor's degree in urban planning, civil engineering, public administration, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in permitting and compliance, preferably in planning and land development.
