Special Education Resource Teacher - Indianapolis, IN
Are you a passionate educator dedicated to helping students with diverse learning needs succeed?
Franklin Township Learning Center is seeking a qualified Special Education Resource Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year (July 30, 2024 - June 2, 2025).
This is a full-time, on-site position working with students in grades 7 and 8.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide small group and individual instruction aligned with IEP goals.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and differentiated instruction to ensure student success.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters student growth.
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and document learning outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and general education teams.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications :
- Must possess a valid Indiana Certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with learning disabilities in a middle school setting (preferred).
- Strong understanding of child development, learning disabilities, and effective instructional strategies for SPED students.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and data analysis skills.
- Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
