2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Shift : Second - 1 : 30 p.m. to 10 : 00 p.m., Monday to Friday

Symbiotic Services is seeking a Flexo Production Supervisor for a reputable leader in the printing industry. This position is based in Brea, California, and operates on the second shift.

Position Summary :

The Production Supervisor will oversee shop employees in a flexo print manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Press Room : Develop improvements to reduce waste percentage and set-up times.

Assist in troubleshooting jobs on press.

Manage press improvement projects.

Facilitate conversations between the Production team to keep the department updated on improvements, challenges, or changes.

Ensure presses have all the required resources.

Production : Attend production meetings.

Review and coordinate corrections to sales estimates, production estimates, and work instructions to minimize errors before the scheduled print date.

Facilitate and coordinate the completion of change order management forms.

Floor Leadership : Consistently audit processes, hold employees accountable, and drive process improvements.

Ensure press, finishing, and pre-press teams are working cohesively.

Communicate business goals and targets to the team effectively.

Manage and communicate across all levels within the company.

Operational Management : Continuous Improvement in Safety and 6S.

Effective communication with employees.

Demonstrate a positive attitude to both internal and external customers.

Meeting Lead Time and On-Time-Delivery targets.

Reduction in Production Related Quality Occurrence.

Minimum Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Business preferred.

3+ years of previous leadership experience in a flexographic printing environment.

5 years of flexographic printing experience.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and techniques, quality systems, and standards.

Proficiency with machines, tools, technology, business management practices, and principles.

2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and the ability to learn specialized software programs (Label Traxx).
